My first day at GMWA!
- Nightly Musical Service - We sat in on about thirty minutes.
- Every group has about ten minutes. At five, three, and one minutes remaining, they hold up huge numbers. It’s hilarious! They say there is an “OFF” sign, but I haven’t seen them use it yet.
- Let The Children Sing - This is the first time I’ve seen this group. This children’s choir rocks! They are a lot of fun to watch. They seem to have a lot of great urban material.
- Youth Service
- Delayed two hours.
- Preacher Tye Tribbet being moved to the Monday night youth service.
- We left shortly after it started to head over to the midnight concert.
- Delayed two hours.
- The Midnight Concert - Big highlight
- Well worth the $10.
- MC - Yolonda Adams
- Vanessa Bell Armstrong - I hadn’t heard of her before (I know - shame on me!) She was great.
- Tramaine Hawkins - “I Never Lost My Praise”, what can I say, she still has it!; “Goin’ Up Yonder”, one of my favorites.
- Georgia Mass Choir - Their band is tight!
- Israel & New Breed - Absent due to Isreal’s emergency back surgery on Saturday
- Waffle House - I haven’t eaten here in years! Gotta love it! Of course, it’s one of the few places open at 3:00am.
More tomorrow!
